Holy Basil Face Serum

I just adore facial oils and this oil-based serum is perfection – it goes on with ease and absorbs without sitting on top of your sunscreen. This one has no scent so great for those who are sensitive to fragrances. The ingredient list is short and sweet – just how I like it! You don’t need a science degree to understand what it contains – just organic goodness! I love that the product packaging is eco-friendly and uses either recycled paper or biodegradable materials and that the manufacturing facility is Carbon Neutral. I was also big fan of the glossary list on the website!

I had never used a Cacay based serum before and I was so surprised at how lush my skin felt when using this one! I did a little peek and realised cacay oil has been clinically proven to stimulate collagen production and support healthy cell turnover, which in turn improves skin texture and tone – and I have to say over the few weeks I incorporated this – my skin felt hydrated and just more “glowy”. The ingredients list is very clean and simple which as a consumer I love. I am impressed by the third party testing on the products as well as the brand’s commitment to implementing a recycling program.

I have been using this serum for nearly two weeks now. I applied it my face every day morning and night time after cleansing. I only need 3 to 4 drop to cover my whole face. It has very light herbal fragrance and it did not cause any irritation to my skin. Since using this serum my skin feel much hydrated, smoothed and healthy looking. It layers perfectly under my other skincare products and make-up. It glides onto my skin nicely and absorbs very quickly without leaving any residue.I would highly recommend this product to anyone with dry, dehydrated or dull skin.

I have only been trialling this product for the past 3 weeks and noticed a difference in my skin within the first week. Only applied in the evening and left my skin hydrated, glowing and super soft. It is quite a thick oil but may be from the cooler weather here but you also do not need much. Looking forward to continually using this on a daily to see how my skin reacts moving forward.
